Over the weekend Ben, Kai and I hiked Icicle Ridge, right outside of the Bavarian village town of Leavenworth, WA (Leavenworth is touristy but so very cute and fun!)
The hike is 6 miles round-trip. It gains 1800 ft. in elevation…I was out of breath much of the way up but kept pushing myself to keep on moving, and we made it up to the top in an hour. The views are absolutely gorgeous and we found a great spot to eat lunch and hang out for a bit while Kai made friends with another little dog (photo below) and I took a bunch of pictures of everything.

^Kai and his adorable new friend, a puggle. We don’t know what breed Kai is but he definitely has some puggle features.

^Overlooking Leavenworth–we could even hear some faint German music they were playing in the town up on top of the mountain. I guess the tuba sound especially carries!

After hiking down we drove into Leavenworth to eat and explore a little bit. We’ve only been once before at Christmastime so it was fun to see the town in a different season.

^Looking up from Leavenworth. I think we were on the top of the ridge on the very left.
